Lake Tahoe is located on the California/Nevada border in the Sierra Nevada mountain range, it's the second largest alpine lake in North America. It also boasts the largest concentration of ski resorts in North America. The area is a major tourist attraction for both California and Nevada given its outdoor recreation, mountain and lake scenery, and nightlife.
