Open year-round, dawn to dusk. Rumney Marsh, a 600+ acre reservation, is located within the rich Saugus and Pines River estuary. This expansive saltmarsh provides habitat for an array of wildlife including migratory birds and marine life. The reservation also provides recreational opportunities such as boating, fishing, walking, and bird watching. It is designated as an "Area of Critical Environmental Concern".
Free programs: Natural and cultural history walks relating to the area are offered.
Directions:
MBTA: Take the MBTA Lynn/Salem bus to Rt. 107, Salem Turnpike and enter at the embankment.
By Car: Take the Callahan Tunnel to Rt. 1 North, continue through Bell Circle and at Brown Circle take a right onto Route 107 north, Salem Turnpike. At the Bristow Street lights make a u-turn reversing direction and continue for 1/2 mile to the embankment entrance on the right.
