The first time, Matt and I just walked around Hammond Pond, admiring rocks in what was practically our backyard. We traversed a little bit on the boulders around the alcove, and called it a day since we didn't even own a crash pad at the time between the two of us.

The next time, we played a bit harder in the alcove, not really doing much of anything (I don't even know if we sent a problem, we didn't have a guidebook or anybody who'd been there before with us.) but having a blast enjoying the 40 degree weather, our shoes off in the middle of December, and the heat given off by the decomposing leaves. This time we had a crash pad, so we were a bit more adventurous, but still didn't try anything too crazy. We wanted to go out more, but the sun was starting to set, so we just admired the beauty of the great outdoors, and were grateful just to have the little time that we did to play outside. Within the next two weeks it snowed, and that was it.
